Post-Game Talk: Miserable Matinee

Asking the fans their favourite part of the game

Shut everyone down that's hurt. We have no chance at getting 2nd. LA schedule too easy and we needed both of these head to heads. Prepare for playoffs, rest up everyone that is banged up. Ggs.

Wasn't the worst game considering the circumstances, but I wanted more from the guys that played. Generated almost nothing all game and it was due to our lack of poise and finesse; not LA's incredible play.

We will be fine with our full lineup. I actually like the clarity this result has given us. Focus entirely on getting healthy for playoffs

Pretty much went as expected, with 4 of our best players eating popcorn. The usual awful Cali reffing. Oh well, still think it’s likely we end up with Vegas as our first round opponent. They want nothing to do with the Blues.

The Kings barely beat a team that's missing McDavid, Draisaitl, Ekholm and Kane and a player that JUST came back from being injured and most likely wasn't 100%. If the Oilers are at full strength come game 1 (and we play the Kings again) I think it's gonna be a massacre
I mean it could've been 4-0, they didn't dominate the play per se, but they definitely didn't barely beat us.

I didn't read too much into todays game and I think the Oilers will still beat them in the playoffs.

Take away the Oiler's best 3 players--Mc-Drai and the Viking--and there isn't a whole lot there. A few better than average players (not superstars) but mostly journeymen, borderline AHL'ers and guys who are getting close to the end of the road. Some posters might say that statement is "anti-Oilers" but it isn't--I think its an objective viewpoint of a die hard, lifetime Oilers fan.

Rest up for the playoffs and make sure your best players are ready to go. Hope that Mc-Drai can go lights out for 2 months because that's just the reality and despite its limitations its a whole lot better than being a Flames fan.

Say, did you guys notice all the King's Fans who were dressed up as empty seats?

Games like this expose just how much hyman and nuge leetch points off mcdrai. Both contracts looked like steals two years ago and now they look like they don't deserve the 5 million a year they get. We're so quick to write off Kane after last season but at least he provides physical and pest play when he isn't scoring.

This team has shown me that it can still do it - question will be whether Skinner can, and how healthy McEkDrai will be - and whether Kane can still play hockey, which I think is a serious question.
