Lol - I just cant handle watching things bend the way they arent supposed to. I can pop my should back in place when it pops out, but the second j watch someone else's body get mangled? :shakehead:pout::cry:

I wouldn't have posted it if it was that bad to look at. I know it's a bad injury, but it's not one of those that has your eyes rolling back in your head. Plus, like I said, in my experience, ankles just work that way.

This looks like what happened to my ankles approximately 14 million times playing soccer. When it happens now, my ankle just flops back into place. #RubberMan

My ankles are the same way from soccer/football/skateboarding/skimboarding. I roll my shit all the time just walking down the street and stepping on random cracks or elevation changes in the sidewalk. It happens so often that I can feel it coming and do an evasive hop maneuver to lessen the blow. I probably look like a goddamn maniac to anyone watching.

Paul Maurice on changing the PP to add a 1-time option on the point with Pionk. Now Wheeler will have 3 1-time options. Maybe we should send this to Therrien/AV.

But Wheeler is on his off side :)

Exactly what I said when they made the switch, if G had Patrick in slot he could justify his being on right wall, but it just doesnt make sense now.

Their PP does suck currently which doesnt make a ton of sense,

For me it is kind of the same from Rugby/Cricket/Skateboarding/Cross-country... have not hurt an ankle from rolling it in like ~8 years or so, like I still roll them, but they just seem so elastic it rolls, stresses, then goes right back to normal. Had it once or twice when going downhill on gravel while running where basically took a step on the side of my foot and managed to avoid even any pain. Hopefully that continues forever.

Agreed. I said the same thing. If G was on the right but had Nisky at the point, Patrick in the slot, and TK on the left wall...then you could at least build an argument.

Funny what Pionk said..along the lines of: "I pass it to Laine to shoot or pass it to Wheeler who passes it"

Funny thread from the Konecny-is-not-a-top-line-forward truther.

John Carlson Doesn't Belong With The Class of Elite Defensemen.

TK wasn't a first line quality forward until this season, he seems to have taken a step up (the scoring was always there, but he hasn't been a defensive liability this season).

And I think he's right about Carlsson, given that forward talent, he should be posting top offensive stats.
Shades of Matt Carle in his day (Carlsson is better, but Matt also put up deceiving numbers).

I've messed my ankles up so much, that every step I take they make cracking noises. In my office, people make fun of me for it. Nothing I can do about it. The are just messed up.

A question for discussion for you all.

In his recent interview to sportexpress.ru Kuznetsov stated that the game, especially in the NHL, is changing from combinations to just run and shoot. Paraphrasing him, it has become running like chicken without a head and the beauty of the game is disappearing.

What say you?

I would like to ask for your thoughts on his points and not on him as a player/ person.

He’s probably not wrong in that it’s becoming more of a transition game & more off the rush stuff. Teams are clogging up the middle of the ice when given a chance to set up so that’s kind of one way find other ways to score.

That sucks. First time I ever had any kind of ankle injury was this summer... strained my Achilles doing something stupid, which resulted in tendinitis (pull-ups on a moving coach and jumped from top deck to bottom when it stopped, landed with my left heel *just* on the bottom step). Not fun. Took around ~9 weeks for me to be able to run properly, and the last 10 days is only now starting to feel 95% the same as before, like ~11 weeks after the injury.

Very lucky to avoid rupturing it I think. Was like a 1.5m drop from feet to step.

Would rather break a non-major bone or fracture a decent sized one than that crap again.

ACL partial tear has been only thing in life more annoying. (broken cheekbone and elbows were painful, but just "know" they will be fine/not actually impact performance) Like at times it feels like never going to be the same again. Though thankfully ACL is now (was 12 years ago) and Achilles is close to good again.

I've got a few issues with my body. Broke my wrist in two places, and I was out for 9 months for that (for medical needs the tip of the radius and the lower scaphoid). I can't fully extend or flex my wrist. I also have a bad right elbow from a hyper extension I never got looked at. I can't fully extend that either. It's messing with my golf swing now. If I golf too much in any given stretch of time, my elbow will go black and blue.

Broken my nose a few times, and have a real jacked up pallet because of it. Went to an ear/nose/throat doc and have two options surgery or take sinus meds every day, so I'm doing the latter until it's too bad. I snore so loud now, my wife has had enough of that.
