I don't want them fired. The longer Dubas is there, the worse they are off

Gets even harder for Ovi to pass Gretzky if the season ends.

My man has missed his rookie season due to lockout, a shortened season due to lockout, potentially this season shortened, AND played through one of the lowest scoring periods in the league history and has a chance to break the all time goals record, that's pretty sick

Exciting finish to Avs, Rags.

2-1 Avs, Z stopped on a shorthanded breakaway.

Rags tie it with 13 seconds to go.

Avs win it in OT.

Will that be the last hockey I see in the 2019/2020 season?

Sure hope not.

Pronger on the Chiclets podcast. Great interview.

On Bryz: "if I didn't get hurt in Philly, I don't think it would have ended that way [for Bryz]. I knew how to handle him."

On the puck stealing: "is there a rule that the winning team keeps the puck? (Laughs) I did it the first time to piss them off. The puck from game one is in the garbage. Threw it away in the locker room. Game 2 I still have, just did it because I figured eh...it's a paperweight."

On holding the puck in TB: "you could see me saying c'mon Marty [St. Louis]! C'mon! Then he looked at his coach and I said you don't need to look at him! C'mon buddy!"

What a beauty. I miss Prongs

This is interesting because I remember Beyz talking about leadership in some interview earlier this year and he specifically named Pronger as someone who wasn't respected in the Ducks locker room and how the team got better after Niedermayer became captain again

Not that I believe Bryz over Pronger, it's just interesting to see how differently they perceive the Ducks period

He said quite a few more things on Bryz too...

about him blaming others for his issues, screaming at Dmen. That was what Pronger was referring too... saying that he was getting angry watching TV when he saw Bryz smashing sticks and shouting at Dmen infront of him for his own mistakes... basically said that did not happen in Anaheim and if he was around he would have spoke to him, sorted it out etc. Seemed to infer he knew how to deal with Bryz, they had an understanding of each other etc.

Did not flat out throw him under the bus though. Got the feeling that it was more frustration with him than disliking him. Said he was one of the most talented goalies he ever saw.

Athletic was the word, not talented. Also he used the defenseman thing as an example, seemed to me that he was speaking in generalities at first about him essentially being able to a) keep Bryz in line and b) being a mediator between Bryz and other teammates

He also mentioned him directing attention towards himself by doing his aloof nonsense when the reality was he should have been directing the attention away from him. We've heard that before, but coming from a spotlight lover like Pronger...it has more punch to it.

From the main boards:

In other news, Jason Pominville is absolutely destroying a beer league in Buffalo. After putting up 30 points in the NHL last year, he decided he wasn't good enough to continue playing pro hockey and transferred to a beer league. He has 97 points in 18 games, all at even strength. Next best on his team has 21.

Statistics - Fall/Winter 2019/2020 Season - Winter 2019/2020 - Performax Hockey League

He's had two 10 point nights (including 8 goals) and a 9 point night. Somehow Pominville has been held pointless in 3 out of his 18 games. Apart from that, his lowest point total in a game is 3. The team overall is 15-4.

He probably didn't show up for those games. Happens a lot in the summer shinny leagues with NHL players.

He's probably playing as a defenseman, too.

If they can't play any more regular season games but can still have a full playoffs, these are the Points% based matchups.
