If you were gonna bridge you probably should have angled for a one year deal. Anaheim just essentially walked him to a situation where he should have all the leverage & what are you really saving for in these next three years? Your team likely stinks most if not all of that contract length.

But Verbeek hasn’t really shown much of a baseline of competence to this point in his tenure.

Jan Jenik looked like a stud before his knee exploded at the WJCs. If Arizona is waiving you there probably isn’t a lot of hope, but there is enough pedigree to take a chance. Too bad this “rebuilding” team is structured in a way that they can’t even really fit their own prospects into a lineup much less a waiver claim…unless they waive a fringe player of their own.

Pens and Sens descended upon our city for tonight's game in Halifax. A sid homecoming if you will. Pens did lots of things like held practice, then had a hockey camp afterwards, had a citywide scavenger hunt, golf at a top course, etc... People even waited in line for 5 hours just to watch their hero(Sid) practice.

Then tonight the team shit the bed and lost 3-0.

Thank you Sens!
