Miscellaneous NHL Discussion CXI: The Last One Went So Long Because I Didn't Know What The Next Number Was

Florida in 5
Do you really think so? I can't decide....it is so close.....if Tkachuk was fully healthy then I would pick Florida....but because of that, I think the Oilers are a slight favorite....McDavid seems to be on a mission.....however...another thing must be noted....Florida added hugely in Jones and Marchand....so for me this is a true pick em....almost certainly a 7 game series.

The loss of Hyman is going big. If they had him, I think the Oilers win, but, without him, I'd say slight edge to Florida.

Oilers still have that hunger. The Panthers already have their Cup. That slight edge in determination could help Edmonton win this series. They also have home ice advantage this time. Momentum and the home crowd could be key here.

Random q: if game start officially is 8PM ET, what end time (end of 3rd assuming no OT) one can expect? I checked some SCF game sheets from last year that say +3h (in this case that would be 10pm ET, which sounds.. optimistic - given the fact that it's SCF.

Silovs has played so well for the Abbotsford Canucks that Vancouver definitely has a goalie dilemma . They need to explore a deal for Demko or if not target Silovs as a possible. Get a goalie should be number one priority.

Why wait when their #1 target was there already? Can't let someone like that get scooped up
Deboer has one year left on his deal and Oetinger stuff pretty much guaranteed he won't be extended going forward. Now I don't think it necessarily means he gets fired. If anything I expect Nill to take his time.
