I had made peace that both late 1sts were going to be in the 26-32 range so I’m grateful for Rantanen and the Stars for digging down deep. I still think there is a good chance Briere bundles a few picks to move up in the 1st

They can't even make the playoffs with their best players. I'd put an over/under of 9.5 on how many times it would take them to win 2 games.

That was pretty amazing to see. Glad it was at home too. Rantanen is an absolute beast. 6th all time in playoffs PPG. No idea what the Avs salary cap looks like, but this one has to hurt big time.

Draft picks outside the lotto are in reverse standings order, with the conference finalists moved to picks 29-32. This prevents Colorado from falling to that point, and their pick gets better if any teams worse in the regular season than they were (STL, FLA, CAR, EDM) make the finals. (Though obviously Edmonton making it is worse for us.)
