Miscellaneous NHL Discussion CX: That's A Lot.

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

I only now realized Provorov hasn't signed extension with jackets and may walk. Thought he would garner much more buzz around the deadline.

Question: what are the regulations on signs in WFC? Wish to get this made into a sign to hold up down by the glass on Saturday during warm ups:

I find it pretty weird that some people are taking so much joy in watching one of our former players fail, tbh. But to each their own.
I think it's more a vindication of what the Flyers value;culture, intangibles, hard to play against, locker room guy, do not a good hockey player make. Laughton has not added any value to the Leafs and was thus not adding any value to the Flyers. It's amazing they managed to land a 1st and a player for him, and doubley amazing that it was like pulling teeth for them to trade him

It's so funny to me to watch Laughton play terribly on a good team.

Makes me that much more thankful for him to be off the bad team I support.

Is that weirder than someone wanting someone on their own team to fail? I seem to remember someone getting their panties in the bunch every time people talked up “their guys”.

The Flyers at least seemed to know that Laughton was the 5th best center on the team and tended to use him that way. They mostly put Laughton on the wing, mostly.

I was a supporter of Laughton for a decade, and thought his last contract was good value at the time. But his defense has been very poor for almost three years now so it is objectively funny that a contender traded a decent haul for him with the idea he could be a solid two-way 3C in 2025.
