Does anyone else think NHL is seriously under-marketing Ovi's record chase given what a monumental thing it is?

People outside of hockey don’t even know who McDavid. Marketing isn’t their strong suit

NHL being niche sport/thing is their own doing indeed.

Edit: I, of course, understand they are also affected by hockey being a very expensive sport etc but the league certainly isn't helping itself w 0 marketing skills
