Chychrun or Bennett are most likely their targets. Who is you choice? I’d take Chychrun. Not sold on Bennett as a #1C. Getting Chychrun would sting the Caps.

Would be ironic to sign a LHD to a 7 year deal after the shit they’ve pulled with RHDs and Buium. I wouldn’t want to sign him anyway. Having a career season as a UFA after posting several years of average results and an injury history ain’t it. He’s also incredibly dependent on finishing. His profile has always been a slightly better Provorov. Not especially good on the PP either, and we know how that would go.

In Flyers Land, it all checks out though. Ditto Bennett.

They could’ve had Chychryn for what the price was to get him. Caps gave up nothing.

They seem to have a good amount of depth no? That and they finally have a solid goaltender.

They could’ve had Pelletier for free too. They also trade late 1sts for future late 1sts without added picks. Value isn’t their strong suit.
