If you were frustrated last year with a top heavy team lacking depth, defense, and goaltending be prepared to suffer through it all again this year.
Because they STILL haven't done a damn thing to change this team yet. Eight years of running it back has made clear it doesn't matter how you mix it up. You can blend the three good players with the nineteen hunks of crap on the rest of the roster any way you want.
You still end up with a puddle of slop.
Maybe they can bring in the best defenseman not already in the NHL again. That worked so well the last time. More than a few fans were worried Lehtonen was gonna take Rielly's spot.
There's gotta be an inefficiency in the market they haven't tried yet.
Eventually they'll figure one out. Or stumble into something that works through blind luck. In the meantime they'll just keep running it back every year.
The same team, with the same problems, headed straight for the same results.
