this will likely be another L, but who knows

Very likely. Minnesota is 3rd overall in the standings, behind only Winnipeg and New Jersey. Tied in points with Florida, but ahead of them due to having a game in hand.

The real question mark is if they do lose, what kind of loss will it be? Because they lost to 2nd overall New Jersey last week, but they played well and with energy. The type of loss I can digest. Will it be a similar loss or will it be one of those effortless losses like the one against Seattle?

Does he not require waivers? Not that I'd be sad if Habs lose him, just curious.

If it's for a conditioning stint, he doesn't need to go through waivers. But he can't be down there for as long as they want. Conditioning stints have their limits. I can't remember how many days/games they need to be down there before you have to bring them back up.

If you do intend to keep them down there after the condition of the stint is met, then the player will need to be placed on waivers in order to keep them down there.

Max 10 days I believe. It's very short from what I remember.

But they can waive him, I doubt he gets taken with his season last year, combing back from a broken leg and his salary.
