Minnesota Wild General Discussion 2024-25

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

In the meantime, feel free to join our Discord Server
Pack him up and ship him out terrible? What's the prognosis here?
Hard to say. Even if i was a Doc (which I'm not), you have to look at each case on an individual basis. I will say that pulled, torn, or otherwise damaged groins are bad for hockey players, and hernias can be just as bad, if not worse. I know a former NHL'er who never was the same after his sports hernia.

It's gotten so that they are so good at repairing knee ligaments that I'd almost rather a torn one of those than a hernia, as the latter can hamper the skating motion for a long time. Hopefully Kap makes a full recovery, but I have my doubts the he will be 100% for the playoffs- again, I have zero knowledge of his actual case, and it's severity.

Not to be dramatic, but we should fire all the coaches in Iowa and move the team to Duluth. Shorter drive, better city, fresh start.

Also what the hell does the spleen even do?

Duluth would make for terrible road trips. Des Moines is fine for an AHL team. The location is not what is wrong with the team.

Put the team in Eau Claire, WI.

I know, it would probably take some convincing for Wisconsin to take on fixing a problem child for a Minnesota based organization.

Meh, just give us something shiny, add in some free beer, and tell us that if MN couldn't make it work there isn't any way WI can.
