Minnesota Wild General Discussion 2024-25

Personally, I'd have liked to see Jiricek get a game because the Wild are currently starved for offense, but I can understand Hynes erring toward caution by playing a guy he knows and trusts. Now whether he should trust Bogosian or not is another discussion, but I understand the overall logic of the decision.

I don't think it was a great move to call him up for this long without playing him, but I also don't think it's the thing that will make or break Jiricek's career. Probably what he does this offseason (and the next) is the thing that will make or break his career.

Agreed, actually. I would've liked to see Jiricek given his fair shot, but at the same time NHL experience counts even if it doesn't mean ice time. He gets to watch the games up close, focus on how the pros move about etc., and hopefully utilize that experience moving forward. It's when he slowly but surely starts to get seated closer and closer to the popcorn machine that we have a problem.

I know I'm being optimistic in that regard, but it's not a total loss. This season will not define him or his future as a player; this offseason is far more important.

Can’t imagine Rossi will be out long. Likely a bone bruise, no?
I had a bone bruise on my shin and I had trouble walking for 2-3 weeks. There can be a lot of swelling that goes along with them. My lower leg blew up to almost twice it's size, or so it seemed.

"They're hoping that he starts skating at the end of this month. He hasn't been skating. I knew someone that ran into him during the 4 Nations break and he said he was going to be out a while. That sort of raised my eyebrows, but I've been asking the question: 'Hey, what's happening? Where's Kirill Kaprizov?' The Wild don't have a timeline," Seravalli said Tuesday onDaily Faceoff.

Done and done. Regardless of Kaprizov being back or not, the garbage PK / PP situation gives the Wild a ridiculously low percentage shot at doing anything worthwhile in the playoffs.

Gonna be a little ticked off if there was always a strong possibility of Kap not being back for the regular season, yet we refused to take advantage of the LTIR loophole.

You know that’s the case , this wretched state is the only one in the union where that could happen and it did ….like clockwork

TBF it couldn't happen in 31 states due to them not having NHL teams. It's better to have a state team to complain about than not having one at all.

Move the team to the south somewhere and you get to choose between WIN, CHI, STL, and COL as the "local" team.
