Something really bugs me about the way Domi came in and knew how to play the right way to ingratiate himself as a Leaf and the moment he has job security everything falls apart. Very bullshit, to put it bluntly.
A lot of players seem to do that.

Remember Reavo having 3 fights in his first 3 games. Then suddenly, nothing. Seems strange that guys get acclimated so quickly here

It also can't be overstated what a disaster their pp is. Part of the "top-heavy" model, to cope with the lack of depth, is at least having a hugely expensive top-end pp, but it just always seems to lose them games in the playoffs and has been a total clownshow for almost a year now. What's the excuse, is the "checking too tight" when you have the extra man?
1. They’ve got no shot from the point.
2. They don’t pass well enough. Too slow. Not enough one touch passes.
3. Too predictable. Other teams just cut off the cross crease passes to Matthews and Willy and Marner has no shot so they can lay off him and cover the shooters.
4. They have trouble getting into the zone and then make too many low percentage plays that get picked off and sent down the ice.

Why don’t they just study the top PP’s in the league and copy what they do ? They have enough skill that it shouldn’t be a problem to make it work or maybe it is a personnel problem. The bottom line is the opposition have figured out how to defend against it.

If anyone wants a really good show and likes your typical UK police drama - I highly recommend Blue Lights.
Brits certainly have a handle on how to make really good police procedurals. I think it's because they don't have to rely on an over abundance of gun play as most US produced shows do. It's like Yellowstone it started pretty good, but became intolerable after show #3 or so.

Ever since Komiserek, seems to happen to all the tough guys we bring in

The guy that played Patty “the iron ghost” Marleau in top playoff minutes? He just had different looking personal favorites, it wasn’t a meritocracy under him by any means.
People remember what they want to remember. Babcock was objectively an asshole who lost the room and was outcoached in the playoffs multiple times, but boomer logic dictates it must just be modern hockey players being "soft".
