This team is crippled up front, Matthews and Marner don’t NEED each other to produce, but the rest of our sad-sack forwards need elite players to help them out. The team is completely non-threatening offensively. Spreading the wealth could help.

Nylander cheating for offense is soft hockey, someone on every line cheating for a stretch pass is hard nosed old school hockey.

I don't get the sense the Marlies are doing a lot of great things in the development department. They always seen to churn out these low personality athletes who come up for a cup of coffee and seem hell bent on not getting noticed. If Holmberg just pretended to be mean, I think he could make more money and lengthen his career in the NHL.

I'll give the guy credit - he tries hard, but positive outcomes are rare.

I'm coming around on Robertson. His game isn't that effective, but in a sea of don't give a crap his try hard brand is refreshing. Not that efficient at all but he empties the tank for you.

Unfortunately he’s watched the core five get paid while being ballerinas so he thinks that’s how you make the big bucks.
