The more things change the more they stay the same. Minnesota, Michigan and Massachusetts have 4 players each on the 4Nations squad and along with NY are still the top producing states going back going near 50 years.Not every state can be Michigan when it comes to producing quality and quantity NHLers
I graduated college in 1977. If you were to take the best 100 US Players NCAA AGED in 1976-77 the top 4 states would have been Minnesota, Massachusetts
Michigan and New York.
Go ahead to 2025 (48 years) and SURPRISE, its the same four states with the most NHL players...lol.
