Rumor: Minnesota offered Wallstedt and Yurov for Robert Thomas at the deadline

Am I wrong in thinking that if the Wild had to add a little bit more to get Thomas it would have been better then Quinn? probably would still have more prospect and assets in the end.
Yes, I think you're wrong. Without Hughes, Spurgeon and Middleton probably would have played even more. And Thomas wasn't on the trade market until near the deadline.

This is no doubt minny leaking this saying:

The season is over so we can say this now, we know what we are missing, we going hard for a legit 1C in this summer.

Minnesota probably said hey St Louis we offer you Wallstedt and Yurov for Thomas Binnington and a 1st St Louis replies we'll keep our first the Wild says no deal 😬

There's a huge difference between "being on the trade block" and "listening to offers".

A player on the trade block is usually someone that the organization would like to move on from, either because they have an expiring contract that isn't being renewed, or they aren't a great fit for the team's current needs.

Quinn Hughes was on the trade block.

Robert Thomas WAS on the "listening to offers" block, along with every single other Blues player because they were near last place in the league.

STL talks a big talk and then never trades their players. I’m sure that offer, which is likely Yurov + Wallstedt + prospect + 1st was beat elsewhere too.
