DD goes down in warmup with a busted ovary...replaced by Galcheyuk at centre...Patches busts out of the funk with the kids on his line and scores a trick, assists on a Gallagher PP marker, and slap-fights Nino for the Gordie Howe...Habs win 5-1...:handclap:

...or DD plays through it, sucks hard as usual, drags Patches down with him, and we get shut out again...

I've got my good luck underwear on, no chance we lose.

I think that is a fine picture Habs. You should be proud of your manly body.

FFS Therrien, play Emelin on the PP. How incompetent must you be not to recognize that Emelin's a better offensive player than Cube!?

This is really frustrating. Seeing Cube play on the power play is like putting a silk hat on a pig. Just stop it, Michel. Please, Michel.

Oh and watch DD ruin his linemates again.

We should have beaten or at least gotten a point in our first game vs the Wild. Therrien simply got outcoached, with the Parros being on the ice for 3/4 goals against.

He now has the last change, and needs to get his line matching down to a tee. Minny's defense is stacked up front, but they have guys like Stoner on the 3rd pairing. Therrien will need to exploit Minny's 3rd pairing. If he wants DD and Patches to get out of their slumps, play that line in favorable match ups and it'll score.

Play Eller-Galch vs Suter and Brodin. We saw Galch make them both look like pylons last game, and I'm sure he'll be able to do the same today. Put Briere-Bourni vs their 4th line. 4th vs 4th, we'll have the clear advantage offensively.

Just like the last time we played Minny, it's the first game of a hard streak of games. We need the win last time, and we need it this time. Get it done Therrien.

I just wish Therrien would keep lines consistent from one game to the next. People aren't being given much time to develop chemistry with eachother (the failed Pacioretty/Desharnais experiment notwithstanding), and at this point it just seems like he is guessing. In the meantime I think we will continue to struggle with our scoring for at least a few games to come. At least Emelin looked great in his first game back, I can see him being crucial in the offensive zone if he continues to move the puck as well as he did last game.

It pisses me off how Therrien cannot see the obvious mistakes he is making and he is filled with brutal decision making.

HOW does Bouillon play over Emelin on the PP? How does Bouillon get in the lineup over big Doug Murray. He is a whopping -10! David Desharnais, bottom line, should not be playing.

Pacioretty - Plekanec - Bournival
Galchenyuk - Eller - Gallagher
Bourque - Briere - Gionta
Moen - Prust - Parros

Subban - Markov
Gorges - Emelin
Murray - Diaz/Tinordi/Beaulieu

this team needs a game vs. the bruins...still cannot believe we don't play them until December 5th. the new nhl scheduling is down right upsetting.

I actually found this refreshing this year. Was getting so sick of seeing the division and other Eastern teams so much. It does help with the rivalries but I am enjoying seeing these Western teams as I hardly ever watch games from the West anymore.

I have no idea what to expect from tonight. On paper I could see the Habs getting shutout but I wouldn't be surprised to see them open up the offence tonight, the boys are due. And less Boullion please Therrien, please?

I am kind of annoyed that White isn't in the lineup. He has been one of our most consistent players all year! In my opinion he clearly earned his spot on the 4th line. Did I miss something? Is he hurt?

For some reason I think the Habs come out strong tonight. Emelin back and with the first game cobwebs shaken will help share the load on D and hopefully counter that heavy forecheck teams have been employing against the Habs lately. Should give the D a bit more space to make plays and help the transition game.

Would like to see Emelin tried on the PP at some point too because it's not working with Bouillon. Maybe not tonight but at some point when he gets back to 100% comfortable.

I think the Habs take this one.

The Wild are on a roll and very stingy defensively right now. I'm expecting the Habs to get shutout again.. :(

I was thinking the same, but they've only allowed one goal less than Montreal overall, and only scored 3 more. Should be a close one, I'll say 4-3 Montreal.

I agree he has been pretty good in his role all year. Sure he has no points but that's only one fewer than Desharnais. And he surely brings more to the table then DD. That's what I hate about the salary cap world how one guy gets to keep playing over another guy simply because he makes more money.\

Also, what are the plans for Parros? Is he done with the Habs? I mean he was hurt all preseason and gets hurt in his first game. Naturally he is gonna take a while to get his feet under him. Will Therrien give him any more chances? I know many are gonna say 'who cares he sucks' but I still think there are games when he can and should be utilized.

He'll be back vs TO and BOS imo.
