My wife and are thinking about buying one of the 10 game packages - for current miniplan or STHs I've got a few questions - we currently hold miniplans for the Durham Bulls so my questions stem in part from my experience with them and wanting to know of differences between the two systems.
1) Based on the existence of the 0 interest program, I'm assuming you can pay for your miniplan in installments. Is this the case? (The Bulls require payment in one lump sum)
2) How easy is the process of swapping out tickets you can't use for tickets to other games?
3) How does renewal work? It looks like you aren't guaranteed your same seat each year- is that the case?
4) How easy is it to use the voucher system to bring friends with us to a game or two?
Any other tips/recommendations/warnings I may not be thinking about?
Answers:
1) You do have the option to pay in installments. First payment is usually drafted in July and last payment in January.
2) Never swapped tickets. I've heard it's a pain as not many games are available for swap. But it looks this year they have 16 of the 24 games available if you need to swap.
3) About March they will send you info on renewing and ask for a deposit. Only Full STH are guaranteed their same seats each year. Half season people attend select a seat to pick seats. Mini plans are assigned seats in your perferred sections.
4) Using the vouchers are very easy. I've always been able to get tickets to the games I wanted. And those were the high in demand tickets, ie Pens, Rangers, Flyers, etc.
