Confirmed Signing with Link: [MIN] Matt Dumba (2 years, $2.55M AVV)

It took me like 3-4 years to jump from 39k to 45k + bonuses. The money these guys make to start and then the extensions following the ELC now these days are just crazy.

It's a different world I know, but just crazy when you truly think about it.

Guy Lafleur? Is that you????

lol. Almost as good as the chipmunks and nuts reference.

Dumba at 2 years? Hmm would have thought the wild might push for the 1 year to try and hide him away from the expansion draft. 3D spots and 5 guys who could play Top4 on about 25 teams. Vegas first defence stops have to be STL and Minny right after. Maybe not the top end, but having 4 #4's to start with isn't bad. That's more depth than most playoff tweeners, even if the top end quality is less.

If you think about that fact that anyone in the NHL making over 1M is in the top 500 in the world at what they do, its really not that crazy. If you look at almost any profession and look at the top 500 in the world, they are likely all making north of 1M.

Yeah, this is not true at all. The list of professions with 1m+ annual salaries is very limited, top500 or not.

Fair number, but I would not be surprised if the Wild regret doing a bridge deal when all is said and done. That said, I get the logic behind not wanting five defensemen locked up long term.

I really don't think the Wild can go wrong with this one.

If Dumba starts lighting it up during the bridge he can always be traded for a great return due to the high demand on the position he plays.

This signing.

Leaves room for Cullen if they want him

I'm not saying you are not good at your work or anything, but how many people there are in the world you think are qualified / skilled enough to do your work? And how many people are qualified / skilled enough to do what Dumba does?
