Would this not be an OK comparable for swayman?
I'd be really surprised if the AAV is that low at 3 years. Maybe at 2 years.Made a lot of sense for him to wait and gauge the overall market considering the odd situation around the league due to the stagnant cap. Seeing Samsonov and Swayman's submitted numbers they probably feel more confident in their ranges to commit now. I bet the $2M for Swayman from Boston's side put a little fear into the agent as well to get things done before the Arb meeting and any contentiousness.
3 years $3.2M AAV is my guess, I think he keeps things pretty friendly after confirming that he wants to stay here.
Seems even fairer for Minnesota...Seems like a very fair contract for both sides
Wouldn’t bet on that sans an injury to GusThat’s a lot of money to pay for a guy that will probably play fewer games than Fleury yet again this year lol.
