Minnesota receives:
Larkin
Debrincat
Tkachuck

Detroit receives:
Yurov
Pinto
Brodin
Hartman
Heidt/Ritchie/Spacek/Lambos level prospect
Middleton/Trenin
MN's 27 1st

Ottawa receives:
Wallstedt
Stramel
Brink
Benak
Heidt/Ritchie/Spacek/Lambos level prospect
Middleton/Trenin
MN's 28 & 29 1sts

This trade hinges on a few hypotheticals. First off is the possibility that if Larkin leaves, Debrincat may inform the Wings that he will not re-sign after 26/27. In that situation, they'd be wise to get some sort of value back for him while he still has a full year left. Also, Elliott Friedman said recently that he thinks there will be other players who ask out this summer. With rumors of Brady possibly not being happy in Ottawa, he too could be moved this offseason if he tells the Sens he doesn't plan on staying. As many Red Wings' fans have insisted in the main Larkin thread, Wallstedt is a redundant asset for them considering their strong goalie pipeline.

So, Ottawa gives up Pinto to facilitate the Larkin trade and get the stud young goalie they've reportedly been interested in. While also receiving a feisty young winger in Brink to replace some of the scoring lost from Tkachuck, a 6'3" power forward center on an ELC to replace Pinto's role and give them more cap flexibility, and a winger prospect who put up some very impressive numbers during his first season in the OHL along with 2 1sts. They can then in turn flip Ullmark to a goalie needy team for another 1st.

The Red Wings get a mix of centers who can play up and down the lineup. Having those three as their center core would give the Wings' ample roster flexibility in order to help offset the loss of Larkin and Debrincat. Brodin also provides a lot of versatility for them in where he could play. Being an elite shutdown d, he could anchor his own pairing. Or they could put him with Seider to form a suffocating duo. Throw Pinto out there too at the same time and that would be an extremely difficult group to play against. Wings and Sens may also choose between Middleton and Trenin depending on who best fits either teams' needs.

Although a steep price to pay for Minnesota, basically emptying out their entire cupboard in this scenario, they instantly form one of the most dynamic top 6s in the entire league. Additionally, the Wild gain the added benefit of becoming even more of an attractive destination for players looking to move to a contender in the future.

While highly unlikely this many assets are moved at one time, I thought this was an interesting and fair proposal when you take into consideration that all of Larkin's, Debrincat's and Brady's respective values are diminished from what they'd be in a vacuum given their circumstances. What needs to be added or subtracted to balance this deal, if anything?

Sens are getting bent over the barrel here, MIN comes out of the best except losing Brodin will hurt he's always been a rock for them

Thought about proposing Ridly Greig instead of Pinto initially. Does that seem more fair? Probably wouldn't be as appealing to Detroit though.

Better but yeah then Detroit is getting shafted a little more

Most 3 team proposals on here are just blatantly 2 teams benefitting, you've at least put in the effort to make it balanced for all 3 so I give you credit, hard to manage with all those moving pieces lol

This trade looks like you are doing Tkachuk and pinto to Minnesota for stuff.

Then you are flipping pinto and other stuff for Larkin and Debrincat

Break this down into 2 trades.

dog shit for Detroit. Debrincat just scored 40 and you're asking them to move two of their three best players and they get nothing in return in terms of now players and the future players aren't exactly that promising. The first they receive will easily be closer to a 2nd round pick than the type of number that would actually make them even entertain this.

Both Detroit and ottawa

Although a steep price to pay for Minnesota,
The above, bolded is the most comical thing about this proposal. They receive the three best pieces (three star players) and give up nearly nothing from their core. And you think it’s a steep price for them??

This is absolutely insane for Ottawa and makes no sense.

Sens just made the playoffs 2 years in a row and are looking to improve their team to make it further in the playoffs. They are not rebuilding. Anyone who knows even a tiny bit about Ottawa would know this is beyond ridiculous. I’ve never seen a proposal so insane in my life.

Why would they even consider trading Tkachuk and Pinto for a bunch of futures? This is like the opposite of what Ottawa would be looking to do. It doesn’t address any of their current needs (Top 4 RD and top 6 scorer) and it creates MASSIVE holes in their lineup. They’re trading their captain and Pinto plays the 2nd most TOI out of any forwards. He just got Selke votes and he’s their most important forward after Stutzle and Tkachuk.

So basically Ottawa decides to rebuild out of the blue for absolutely no reason?

My god lol also Tkachuk will play this year in Ottawa and that’s a guarantee.

Both Detroit and ottawa

Steep as in the Wild are basically gutting every valuable asset from their system. And like I implied in my original post, if both Tkachuck and Debrincat had term left, or weren't asking out like Larkin, obviously this would not entice Ott or Det to move these players. But, that's not the situation these teams are potentially in. Under the assumptions I listed, they're devalued assets who have some control over their future teams.
