Maybe I'm just being hard on Buff, but I think Scheif's absence is a lot more noticeable than Buff's. Other than carrying the puck up & shooting a lot (usually missing the net) what does Buff really accomplish
Well Scheif has only been missing for two games but no doubt his absence is likely larger.

I think Buff accomplishes a lot on the PP, he's key gaining the zone, starting the breakout, he's very good at rotating and changing angles, as well as being a big weapon other teams need to protect against with his shot. He's also a way better passer than most people to believe.

He's a key guy on the PP, personally I'm more confident with him out there.

I feel the same way. I like his skill on offense , not so much on defense.

Can't agree with that statement. Any stats to back that up?

Faceoffs are important. But......The basic argument is that most teams are fairly close to 50% so at the end of the season the number of faceoffs won or lost only end up adding or subtracting a handful of goals to a team's bottom line.

I think where a faceoff is held and under what conditions should increase the importance.

There have been lots of studies on faceoffs. The impact disappears after 10-15 seconds.

I think you're missing the point though. If the Jets win 53 and lose 47 face offs out of every 100. The impact of winning them gets counteracted by the impact of the ones you lose for the most part. The advantage is so small it has very little impact on a team's record.

If 3 goalies from the West go to the all star game and Helle isnt one of them... Bull****.

The Allstar game is only 11 players from the central division. They play a 3 on 3 tournament agains the other thre divisions
