Nailed it. That's the exact feeling I get from some of their posters. Odd bunch. Though to be fair, most of the Avs fans I've met in person are really arrogant and annoying as well

Avs fans are weird on HF boards in general. Seems like they have a lot more bandwagon fans than most teams. A good amount of fans aren’t near Colorado. Salty fans who have left their previous teams lol.

Least they have some fans I guess. Its appaling how little support teams like Vegas, Seattle, Utah etc have on here.

Skinner fined for 2nd embellishment this year.

2 more and he can start getting Knoblauch fined, which would be quite the way to punish your coach for not playing him in the top 6

This is always fun from this 2nd class league. I'm not even excusing Skinner, but for f*** sakes, seems like he's the only one fined, and you know, we've all see Vancouver and Colorado.

Holy f*** this embarrassing league.

Not surprised. Parros was such a worthless plug as a player, it’s insane he ever got the job and he’s held it for so long now. Such a joke. Guys brain is scrambled, he has no idea what he’s doing, OR he’s crooked.

Kinda like our government. They’re either insanely stupid or corrupt. Pick one.

I have no problem with Skinner getting fined for diving - if it wasn't apparent that he was being singled out for whatever f***ing reason. The dive in the clip isn't even that blatant, looks like he just fell down.

Nazem Kadri and Elias Pettersson are two of the most egregious divers in the NHL today, but have either of them ever even been warned?

Agreed 100%, fine everyone who dives blatantly, but that clip is a stick in his feet, you can't really dive in that spot, just this league man. lol.

If that is truly the standard the NHL would be issuing multiple diving fines every single week.

It isn't the standard though. Just this time for this player from this team for random reasons that we won't ever know. Just like everything with that disgrace of a department.

I agree... if there was even some remote semblance of consistency on how penalties/fines/suspensions are handed out... you could accept rulings like that BUT every game is an adventure in how rules are applied when it comes to something simple like goalie interference, offsides, icings, high sticks on goals etc... let alone how the league reviews and hands out punishment for more serious issues like the headshot hit on Nurse for example.

I don't even get frustrated by it anymore... I just expect there to be no logic or intelligence behind the rulings that refs & the league make and accept that this is basically a WWE level league when it comes to refereeing and "management" at the league level. The big priority of course is to keep the money flowing in and "fairness and logic" in how rules are applied is secondary.

Like I love Leon, but I've seen him dive MUCH more obviously then that.

If the league wants payment for this, send it via Canada Post.

Send it with a video of all the Reflanche dives from last game alone.

Give them some viewing material when the fine arrives sometime in February.

Skinner should be fined for not meeting even minimum standards of a professional player giving professional effort. More my take on that instance is a weak player resembling Arvid falling down because somebody breathed on him and not even close to fighting through coverage. We're stuck with this guy now unfortunately.

I'd be fine with Skinner paying out of this contract. Like that would ever happen. 13M to be this clown on ice.

Shocker driver is completely blowing this out of proportion because it’s one of the many players he endlessly whines about.

I mean if I'm Skinner, despite making a ton of money his career, I get my agent to put together a video of all the worse dives THAT WEEK, then send it to the league and media with a copy of the lawsuit about the fine.

That's hilarious. Love that they're throwing out fines for this, but like... That's the play they pick on?

He pretty clearly toe picks and there is a stick in his feet. 😂

Whatever. Do they not watch the Avs or the nucks play ever? Their entire team should be getting fines on the regular.

I have seen way worse “dives” even from the Oilers this season. Super bizarre one to target.

He also didn't draw a call, or even like motion to the refs?
