in his Wiki entry says his father emigrated from Crostia. Was his dad a Serb living in Croatia?
I don't know specifically about Zezel's father, but I have a Serbian friend and parts of his family (and some Serbians in general) lived in what's now known as Croatia prior to Yugoslavia breaking up.

Was fairly common. I recall reading that there were a lot of Serbs in Bosnia and Croatia

Dude was an incredible power forward when healthy. Hit like a truck, could score, and was one of the last great fighters. Always had his teammates backs. Was stoked when he went to Calgary, but by then he was pretty worn down due to how he played the game throughout his career.

One of my favorite Lucic moments was when he put Van Ryn through the glass. Crazy stuff.

I think it was more about the game getting faster, absolutely to fast for him.

He got fairly broken down which hurt his speed, so yeah, that combined with the game getting faster wasn't a good recipe for Milan's longevity. Have to remember early in his career he could move pretty fast for a guy his size. His speed wasn't an issue at his peak, and peak Lucic could still be effective in today's NHL.

He could skate pretty fast once he got going back in the day but his burst and agility were always pretty bad. I think he'd still be decent in today's NHL but not as effective as he was 15 years ago.

Dude was 245pds and beat up some of the toughest players in the toughest sport.
Read the original police report: there's no report of any physical violence against her person, but yet jackasses will turn a broken lamp and a flushed red chest into "beat the shit out of her".

Try posting with intellectual non-hyperbole or stay out of commenting on a guy's personal life; if he'd ever swung on her, she'd be very damaged. This is no Voynov etc

She called 911 and said he tried to choke her, that he also grabbed her hair from behind and pulled her backwards and told her “you’re not going anywhere.” The responding officer observed redness on her chest consistent with her claim to the 911 dispatcher, and that’s why Lucic was arrested.

You’re right, it would be intellectually dishonest to compare this incident to Voynov’s

But it’s also dishonest to say the police didn’t report any physical violence against her person.
