Mike Sullivan is the worst Head Coach in the league now and the Penguins don’t care.

Every player that comes in ends up shitting the bed. Every player that goes out ends up scoring hat tricks.

-Erik Karlsson puts up a Norris Trophy winning campaign the year prior to Sullivan. And now it looks like he’s on his retirement tour.

-Alex Nylander scores a hat trick because he’s no longer under the Sullivan spell.

-Mikael Granlund leads the Sharks in points. In Pittsburgh it looked like he didn’t know what a hockey puck was.

-Reilly Smith wishes he was back in Vegas with an actual game plan.

And the worst part of it all, the Penguins have won all 3 out of their 4 Cup runs while firing a Head Coach mid season.

Maybe Dubas will start to catch on sooner than later since he’s the one who traded away Nylander and brought in the other two. Hopefully.

What are some other reasons he sucks as these are just off the top of my head.

It’s a Sad Day for Hockey.

Lmao, these points are all absolutely hilarious. Nylander having an off game when he's failed in multiple spots pre Pittsburgh? Granlund sucked in Pittsburgh and was never going to play in their top 6 with Sid/Malkin obviously being the two pillars down the center. Being a point producer on a shit team isn't something to cry about. And Vegas clearly traded Reilly Smith for a reason to Pittsburgh in the first place, shouldn't the player take some onus in that regard as well? I'll gladly take Sullivan in NJ if you're sick of him.

It's not that Mike Sullivan is a bad coach per se - but it's simply not clicking anymore in Pittsburgh. I thought it was insane he got another shot this season, I was convinced he'd be fired in the off-season, even moreso than the GM.

It's time to make a switch.

Don Granato says hold my Labatt Blue.

Also, the 3 outta 4 cup runs accompanying a coach replacement is just a statistical anomaly. There’s no reason to think that predictive of future success.

Sry, reading a book on that stuff, iz cool man.

Might be one of the biggest unforced errors in NHL history. The Penguins extended him way before they needed to. His new contract extension that was signed in 2022 and starts next year.

The problem is that he doesn't have the job security necessary to be a good coach, the Pens have been jerking him around long enough
