I’m excited about Forbort Reilly as a pairing. Think they will do very very well against lower forward lines
I agree, well put.Mike Reilly is the next in a long line of underrated and misunderstood Bruins, like Blake Wheeler and Hal Gill, who doesn’t play how you want him to play so you obsess over what he’s not and miss all the good things he does.

two very different tools for different situations. there are things both guys are relied on to do that the other guy could never handle. Reilly is the better all around player but they need both guys playing well and tonight they got it.Nailed it.
Even within this team it's absurd. Twice the player Forbort is, yet gets twice the shit from this fanbase.
Mike Reilly is a “star player?” In what universe?report is that he refuses to play for Providence again and wants to be traded. cap and asset mismanagement ruin another relationship, this time with a star player. grossly underrated, Reilly was a greatly effective teammate while he was a Bruins skater. CBJ would be wise to offer a 2023 third if they can fit his finances. any team with the space should strongly consider the dude they passed on via waivers. does the guy eat puppies or spread pneumonia? it is a weird exile that the dude is in. he's definitely an NHL-level talent at his prime. I am disappointed that he has no seat at our table.
did you change your username from delicious pie?guy routinely reps about a 91 in my established and self-trusted player effectiveness grading formulae, so... mine. when I am confident, it is based in reality, but in a world where 48% of people are unaware, and another 48% are not aware, those surviving in a time of misdirection, propaganda, disinformation are often not wrapped up in convincing the masses of the truth in assertions. you have the right to be wrong. I am not here to disabuse effectively. I stand firmly by my assessment. CBJ's powerplay would be improved by his presence. he tends to be relatively plus despite never quite getting settled into a spot with the Bruins. he's not a scrub despite being treated as one. you do not have to understand. Mike Reilly is a star defenseman and teams are missing out. maybe there is a personal aspect I am not aware of that all managers know, but the dude has been having tremendous success for Boston while employed here. he makes his team better, believe it or don't. it reminds me of losing Kampfer the first time. the team can't keep everybody and chemistry is important and the league has fairness rules, so sometimes you lose your Lauzon. Reilly should be remembered fondly, but his fate was clear when they made him wear the 6. I wish there was a clear path toward keeping him through his contract. somebody has to go and he wants out of Providence. so it tends to go. stacked defense is a luxury and Reilly is a casualty.

I guess notHere's hoping he can overcome the curse of jersey #6!
disliked Savard, Spooner, Ritchie, Ritchie, Donato, Wideman.
Reilly simply is not good either. 1 point in 10 games despite this Bruins season, as an offense only defenseman.Must be frustrating for an NHL player who is clearly better than some of the other players on the roster (Cough Zboril Cough) yet ends up on waivers and assigned to Providence basically because they need his cap space more than the lesser player.
The problem is he never really separated himself from a zboril or a clifton so when it came time to making room for McAvoy, Reilly was the odd man out. On top of it he doesn’t bring anything that the team is lacking. That’s why the super cheap guys like zboril, clifton, Frederic, etc will all have roster spots because their too cheap compared to other players who are making more for relatively equal productionHe’s been a fine 5/6 guy, I’d argue better than Zboril. unfortunately Sweeney has too many bottom pair guys signed for too much money both on fwd and at D.
I’d much prefer they get rid of Smith but it’s understandable if Reilly wants to go to a team that will play him consistently.
