He started the season in the minors, got called up by the Jets because of injuries, impressed them so much he got time in the top 6 and then they tried to sneak him through waivers with all their guys coming back and he got claimed. Contract politics kind of forced him out of Winnipeg but he's talked about in a positive light by Jets fans.

Sharks fans talked about him very positively too.

Yeah I don't care if this kid scores a goal. If he's playing hard and being hard to play against, he's an asset.

I don't expect much out of a 4th line C, if he plays like he did last night the 4C is his. Already more useful than Names.

Just looking at some of Ace's stats from last game.

CF: 18
CA: 11
CF%: 62.1
xGF 5v5: 0.57
xGF/60: 3.36
xG% 5v5: 55.9

His shooting percentage is only 4%, average TOI is 12:30 this season. With us its closer to 10 minutes. If that shooting percentage comes up, he could end up being an amazing 3rd liner. Guy just generates offense.

Jets fans really liked him too and thought he was better than a nnumber of their bottom 6 regulars.

And if he is a regular here i think he will at least get on the scoresheet a bit because he is on pace for 200 shots. he could have a 5% shooting percentage and still score 10 goals over a season.
