Well never know the story, and by looking at Danton speaking, I get the sense of that hes nit telling the whole truth. Frlst probably done some bad things, and Danton doesnt feel good talking about it.
Thats sad.

Just came across this video on YouTube and was kind of shocked. Was arrested for conspiracy to murder in 2004! Did this get much coverage at the time or was it just swept under the rug? (I didn't start watching hockey until 2006)

Steve Simmonds wrote a book about it.

David Frost was in court later on related issues with the cult group he coached. Danton and Keefe among them. Tom Jefferson ( Dantons younger brother) Abused and ridiculed by group of junior players and their coach ( Frost) on a camping trip.
Simmonds interviewed Keefe about it when Keefe was coaching the Marlies.
When keefe was asked " what would you say to Tom Jefferson today" Keefe looked liked he wanted a back door to slip out of.
Tom Jefferson ( poor kid) told the story on George Strombolopous show with Steve Simmonds ( Toronto Sun Writer)

Keefe was also closely tied to David Frost. Keefe and Danton (Jefferson) were basically Frost's acolytes when he began to groom them at like age 12/13/14.

Keefe's brother Adam was also originally under Frost's influence, but Adam seemed to reject Frost's influence at some point during his junior career. I believe it lead to Danton fighting a much younger Adam Keefe as payback during one of the games.

Sheldon didn't cut ties with Frost until much, much later (I believe he was still under Frost's direction when he was playing in the NHL/AHL).

Now here's a blast from the past. Would've imagined he was still locked up but instead he had returned to playing hockey over 1o years ago already and was immediately made a team captain in his Swedish lower league team a couple of years after his return.

Any time you think you are talking to a hitman, you are really just talking to an undercover cop/FBI agent. You hear about this in your local news pretty often, it's funny how dumb people are.

Also, if you read into David Frost more he's a pretty f***ed up guy, and there's some strange ties with Sheldon Keefe.

You can say that again. It feels like there's a whole, complex component with him that the media just didn't want to even touch. There's some grooming tendencies with that guy which make even the hitman story a little confusing in terms of who was supposed to be killed. I'm sure we all have some opinions on that if we were following hockey when it occurred but I suppose they're best left unspoken.
