I know we're only 2 games into the season, but we're now going on close to 3 weeks of action where Kreider has, more often than not, left me wanting.

And that's coming off a 17 game finish to last season where he posted 2 goals and 5 points.

It's sort of the opposite of the Zibanejad having X points in X games statement.

You know, a bruised sternum can take a little while to heal.

Just saying, bruised sternum's hurt...a lot. And cause people to miss a week or so.

I mentioned this in the in the GDT when it happened, but Lias threw the same reverse hit on Bergeron last year and got mugged all game for it. Chara even came to the bench and threatened OUR 1C, aka Mika. After the game Cassidy called out our team and said we were disrespectful. Obviously don't think it was intentional from Bergeron or anything, kind of ironic is all and yet another reason to hate the B's.

Going with the fact that his chest is pretty bruised.

Not sure if anyone here as ever boxed before. I have. And I took a shot to my chest that not only knocked the wind out of me, but left me in agony for no less than a week. So much so that I actually could not work out during that time.

Certainly better than a concussion which they have said it is not.

So, hypothetically speaking, because sharing medical information is a touchy subject, [cough cough], if someone were re-watching the play it would be totally understandable to conclude that plays like that can cause a bruised sternum that makes it hard to breathe and get oxygen through the system.

That, combined with a more limited range of movement in a fast-paced occupation, could make hypothetically make someone more vulnerable to the type of injury that fans don't want a certain player to receive, should said player have been sent back out there on the ice.

So holding said player out to heal, and prevent a worse injury, would be a potential course of action.
