Ever had the bright idea to take your BP immediately after a playoff game? Me neither.

I said earlier today that my body is NOT ready. I was right. I’m not sure I can survive this.

Leftover from game thread….

Goalie holes defined…

"Holes number one and two are above the shoulders of the netminder, and three and four are in the lower corners of the goal on either side of his ankles. The five-hole is right between the legs, while six and seven are underneath the armpits.

From hockey for dummies
Does this mean that to determine whether a goal is 3/4 or 6/7 hole you need to work whether the puck crossed the goal above or below the half-way point of the post?
Logic would say that 3/6 and 4/7 are actually just one big hole...

Nice win, wasn't perfect but I'd rather be on the side of winning than be perfect on the side of losing. Woohoo! No Shesty shutout, but we did what we had to do. 5-0 in this year's PO's. Can't wait anything more. LarryBiv out, for now.

Great win. Tough last 5 minutes but absolute control for the game prior to that.

Zibby was excellent
Love Cooly Wennberg
Great showing by ADA

Btw, physically we beat up the canes today. Anyone that says different is lying. They have about 4-5 guys that play a stiff game.
That will pay dividends later on in the series.
I would agree with that in the first period, but the Canes were the more physical team in the final 40. Partially,I blame the refs, honestly... our guys seemed afraid of the inconsistent calls & were afraid to go to the box.

The Rangers were great tonight. They had clearly done their homework.

The refs are such a problem. Even down to the icings they choose and choose not to call.

I love how we get half as many PPs as the other team because we happen to score on them.
Shitty reffing comes with the territory.
The last 2 games have been especially gross.
I was shocked they called svech for tackling Lindgren on that lose puck tbh.
I thought they were going to put the whistles away.
Canes got away with a lot of obstruction/interference plays in those last 5 or so min.
It’s like they are daring the refs to call it. They know the league wants to keep games close and entertaining, so they dial it up a bit and play the law of averages

Fun fact, even with how the last 5 mins went, we still beat them out in terms of xGF%.

EDIT: Also jesus christ were the refs godawful

NST has the scoring chances as 21-12 Canes but the high danger chances as 6-4 Rangers. They are volume shooters and we should expect the analytics to favor them even if the final score doesn’t.
