Microwave safe? I don't think so.

I re-read the packaging

It says 20 minutes in the oven if not frozen but 40 minutes if frozen

Since it's sold frozen, this means they want you to basically let it thaw overnight or something I assume, so the total time is still more than 20 minutes

Anyway, here's the product page for this pie from the company's website:

They even repeat that microwave-safe thing on their website

Based on the picture, I'm convinced that the completely scorched part is the only part of that meal that won't give you diarrhea.

That company has thousands of other products and basically are billionares.

You get your ass right the **** on the phone to the local media who will run any story an elderly women can phone her friends and talk about which this is #1.

And you tell them you almost DIED because of this pie and have INHALED dangerous fumes becasue of it.

You then find a lawyer. AND YOU SUE THAT COMPANY FOR ONE HUNDRED MILLION DOLLARS

Never put metal in a microwave.

If you're unsure about the material, remove the contents of the packaging and heat it in a microwave-safe container.

That said, you have a right to take further action, as the instructions lied to you and threatened your safety.

I see no reason why the pie company shouldn't be the ones to buy you a new microwave. Pretty sure "microwave safe" is supposed to mean the product won't catch fire.

This right here. On what planet is any aluminum microwave safe?? Call or email the company and send them these photos.
