If we’re being serious for a second, the game industry is essentially dead until neural rendering and A.I. generated code make advances.
Costs are just way too high and they’re never coming back down with the current development pipeline. Look at any AAA games end credits. It’s like 30-40 minutes. If you count it’s over 1000 names.
People are really resisting the industry pivoting to A.I. as if there’s something left to save. They just don’t want to believe it’s over. My brother, the jobs are gone and they’re never coming back, it’s over.
Nah, they've signed agreements for the parts already. Next gen launches might be delayed, same goes for PS6.500 for an underpowered console is nuts. Sounds like Helix is in limbo, this is like the worst time to release new hardware, Steam Machine is over a grand and this Helix is supposed to be a much more powerful "hybrid"? Would not be surprised if they just throw their hands up and got out of hardware
I don't completely agree. Still fully think this AI bubble will burst when even the most staunchly invested realize they can't commodify AI to consumers the way they thought. If we’re being serious for a second, the game industry is essentially dead until neural rendering and A.I. generated code make advances.
