Michkov's progression means everything to this team rn, I prefer Michkov hits 75-80 points than us getting a top 5 draft pick. He's one of those guys you have a chance to win a cup with... yes I know we need pieces around him, but we will sign and trade for guys and hopefully hit on some draft picks in the upcoming years. I don't think a higher draft pick eclipses Michkov becoming a star early, who knows though maybe I'm wrong.

Genuinely I’d love to see him go 30/30, goaltending crater and miss. He plays great and the team still realizes they need to build around him.

CBJ isn't conditional, it was conditional last season and CBJ elected to use their 2024 pick, thus giving us their 2025 pick, which is looking like 33-35 after losing Gaudreau and Jenner.

If the team makes the playoffs, it means young players have stepped up, b/c Couts, Hathaway, Seeler and Risto aren't going to carry this team.

So win-win.
