Michkov vs Fantilli vs Carlsson

Carlsson is a step above the other two
Agreed, at least from an overall perspective. I wouldn't be shocked if Michkov ends up the better scorer in the long run, and maybe even as a rookie.

That said, I think Leo is going to have a big year offensively. He was really starting to come into his own the last 2 weeks of the season.

Homer voted Fantilli, but he and Carlsson are both going to be studs. Michkov will be a monster but don't see him outscoring them this year.

Yeah this guys special and I hate the ducks with all due respect to @WhatTheDuck and @JabbaJabba

Michkov
Carlsson

Fantilli

Carlsson is so smart, I'm not sure he'll ever have the offensive game Michkov has but he plays centre so, Fantilli isn't necessarily way worse just think he's a small step below, he could possibly be right there depending on what happens this year. I think a majority of this board that doesn't watch Michkov regularly are going to be very surprised, will be a fun season.

Based on what exactly? Even if he becomes better offensively he's unbelievably far behind in terms of all around contribution and plays the less important position.
I mean I'd rather have Kucherov than Barkov so I don't understand this point, and its not like Carlsson is a selke level centerman and its not whether he will become better I guarantee you he already is.

Has always been Michkov. Other two are doing okay and will figure it out, but Michkov will be one of the best forwards in the league. Cant believe anyone fell for the center with size nonsense over a player with generational hockey sense and performance level.

Carlsson is better than Michkov

I agree with a lot of the stuff you post, this simply isn’t true, they’re not even in the same tier imo. Carlsson had a full year in the NHL to adjust last year and Michkov instantly came into the NHL this year and is out producing him by a lot. The only thing Carlsson has on him is the position he plays.

Once upon a time Sergei Samsonov and Joe Thornton broke into the league at the same time, same age, same team. And plenty of folks were convinced that Samsonov was going to be the much better player after he started out ahead for the first few years. Now Michkov is on a different level from Samsonov, but the point is that growth trajectories for players are not linear paths. I wouldn't be surprised if Leo ends up as a 90 pt player, and likely with elite two way ability. That's hard to pass up. And Fantilli is a mess right now but the player he is reminding a lot of people of is early career Mackinnon. The point is, it's very very early.

Nobody is arguing that, but you can’t deny teams preferred some guys over Michkov because of the size and the position they play rather than the talent
