I think McLellan takes all the slow options because the concussion cause by McGinn's bench stick hit slowed his reaction times permanently.i like how wilson is taking all the slow options away from mclellan lol.

Excellent! Glad DW recognizes the need for speed.
even better, it means its a better 4th round pick
That would be better for us cuz it's the higher pick.
That's a whole lotta future busts. Awesome.
Pretty sure he just remembered that there's no shootouts in the playoffs.
im meh on the trade. seems it adresses some of our face off needs and frees up a contract spot for the sharks
Pessimism is hilarious.I know you love to play devils advocate (not sure if that's the right term) and I am by no means trying to start an argument with you or anything but what's with the pessimism all the time?

Lol no way.I guess but I often wonder if you have any hope for the organization lol

DW is sabotaging every top cup contender with our garbage. Brilliant.
Doug Wilson saw Pavelski on his own line and thought wow Handzus is useless.
You have to compare to what other teams do. You can't just look at your own team. Ideally, a team grabs 9 NHL players every 3 years. 2 of them as top 6/top 4 and 7 bottom of the lineup players. There is a big dichotomy in career length for top 6/top 4 and bottom of the lineup players (~15 years vs ~5 years). Huge turnover at the bottom of the lineup. No team hits the ideal, the compensation is in unsigned players like Matt Read, etc.I know you love to play devils advocate (not sure if that's the right term) and I am by no means trying to start an argument with you or anything but what's with the pessimism all the time? We've actually had some really good draft picks in the past 10 years or so so I'm just curious to why you think our picks for this draft will probably be busts as I personally think DW is a pretty damn good GM despite signings like Wallin, White and Zeus but drafting I think he knows what he's doing:
Setoguchi - 1st round 8th overall
Couture - 1st round 9th overall
Hertl - 1st round 17th overall (likely not a bust)
Coyle - 1st round 28th overall
Vlasic - 2nd round 35th overall
Lalancette - 4th round 109th overall (doubt he's a bust)
Pavelski - 7th round 205th overall
Braun - 7th round 201st overall
Wingels - 6th round 177th overall
Demers - 7th round 186th overall
How are you supposed to draft top-3/top pairing with high 1st rounders all the time? The Sharks are also behind the eight ball in drafting top 3/top pairing. At this point in their history, they should have about 4 of those. They have Marleau with Couture and Michalek as marginal for that rating. On the defensive side, Ehrhoff is their claim to fame with honorable mention to Rathje and Hannan, none of whom are solidly top pairing.

In recent drafting, DW has been far below par. There was a point at which the Sharks were #2 in drafting from the 2nd round onwards. Not anymore (since 2003). And this doesn't account for their place in the draft etc...
How are your golden boys Detroit doing this year?

Michal Handzus had the choice four teams _ including the Winnipeg Jets when he made his decision to go to Chicago. #TRADTRACKER
