Did you watch him in the OHL? He won a gold for Oshawa in the Canada Winter Games. He grinded there for 3 years before getting drafted by us. You don't play in the NHL for over a dozen years and play 768 career NHL games, over 100 career AHL games, and over 220 career OHL games if you don't care about hockey.

John Carlson was the pick to make. I was 100% sure he was the pick that year.

MDZ had a good career, at times great, at times terrible.

He was incredibly immature and should've gone back to juniors for a year or two more (everything that is known but he also briefly dated a friend when he was in NY. Good guy just wasn't regimented from what she would tell us).

I don't blame Torts for anything, whom he had some good seasons with. It was AV's system that he couldn't gel with.
