First: Our captain Brian Gionta. A captain needs to lead by example. Gionta has been no where to be found this playoffs. 19 mins of ice time, 1 goal in 9 games shooting percentage 3.85%. He's been out muscled, outplayed in every game. I believe Gionta is done. Let him walk via UFA.

Second. Our #1 center David Desharnais. 1 goal, 2 assists in 9 games with nearly 20 mins of ice time every game. while Dale Weise, a 4th liner with 10 mins of ice time has more goals and points. Mike Weaver has more points than Desharnais for God sake. Desharnais has been Out muscled, sometimes outplayed by bigger opposition players. I'm tired of this from Desharnais. How many games did it take him to start producing at the beginning of the season 40? We really cannot have a #1 center that takes 30-40 games to start producing and disappear again in the playoffs.

Third. Max Pacioretty. I believe Max is a regular season player. He doesn't bring it in the playoffs. Asside from that lucky goal in the first round (I still don't know if he tipped it or not) he has done jack in 8 of 9 games. He's suppose to be our top elite scorer, he gets top minutes. He has speed, size (unlike Desharnais and Gionta) so there should be no excuse of him to suck.

Fourth. Andrei Markov. Markov has 4 points all assists and 3 came on the powerplay where Subban scores. Basically I'm saying Markov hasn't done much aside from being -5 these playoffs and Subban has been carrying Markov's points production.

This year like last year is the same theme, bigger, more muscle team outplayed, out muscled us. We are still small and play scared. We can only match up with less physical teams like Tampa. Marc Bergervin needs to shake up this team. Desharnais, Gionta, Markov should all go. Pacioretty I might keep and see. If there's an offer for Evander Kane for Max Pacioretty. I'll pull the trigger, Kane is faster, more physical and will be a better playoffs player.

We need guys who "BRING IT" in the playoffs.

The Evander Kane obsession on this board is getting ****ing crazy. Pacioretty is a much better player than Evander Kane. Kane hasn't even played in the playoffs in the NHL yet. Plus, in the WHL playoffs that he has played in, he has a much worse PPG than in his season stats. How do we know we won't disappear?

Markov has also been fine in this series. He's not as good defensively anymore but still logs big minutes against the Bruins top 2 lines.

Gionta has also been good. He's not scoring in bunches but what do we expect? He's a reliable 3rd liner, pinch 2nd liner, which is what he will get paid for next year. Deshernais hasn't been bad other then last night. Markov has been good. Out of 4, Max has been the only one not really doing much of anything.

Did you see Gionta's coverage yesterday on Boston's goal? Gionta has no awareness.

Gionta is the perfect player when your team leads in the playoffs. When we trail by 2 goals and I lose patience as a fan, Gionta is the perfect scapegoat.

When MT scratched Briere, he took out depth from the lineup, and put more pressure to the Giontas of the team. What a stupid decision.

Well Desharnais isn't going to produce if his linemates aren't. He isn't a good enough shooter to do it himself, although he is trying to. I have zero complaints with his effort level. He needs to produce but he's playing hard.

Pacioretty and Vanek have been terrible. Both of them float without the puck. Vanek even floats with the puck.

Markov is trying but he's a shell of his former self. That's passable in the session but not the playoffs.

Gionta was great until the list few games. I'm not sure if he was playing awesome, or if Bourque and Eller's play just made it seem that way.

Whoever runs our PP needs to be fired ASAP. It's a joke and its not only on the players. One of the worst systems I've seen.

Therrien.... has to go. I can handle him more than most but I've had it with the veterans getting free passes and rookies not given a shot.

Therrien has done a fantastic job. He's not the reason we are losing. Tinordi is a turnover machine and Beaulieu hasn't been deemed ready by management like Bergevin and co..

Sure... but so are Murray and Bouillon. They each have about 30 icings.

I'd rather let a young player get experience. You might get something awesome. Look at Yannick Weber.. he was dynamite in the playoffs.

A rookie on the fourth line wouldn't be bad either. A hungry rookie is better than a terrible vet.

Therrien is not against youngsters. Look at how he has given Bournival top 2 lines and crucial minutes in the playoffs. Look at how he played Gallagher and how he stuck with Eller even though he's complete junk at times this year. He could have easily said lets go with Briere at 3rd line C if he really valued vets more.

Now Tinordi got the best chance to take his spot and he failed. Therrien even benched Bouillon for one straight month to give any other defenseman a chance to take that 6th spot. Tinordi fell flat on his face! That's the reality. The reality is Tinordi didn't take his chance and not that Therrien hates youngsters.

Beaulieu did really well but there is concerns with his attitude. We don't know what is going on in the dressing room with Beaulieu.

Beaulieu is a no show. A bummer MT won't use him and his speed would back Boston into their zone more.

Don't be ridiculous. Andrighetto is no where near ready for top 6 minutes in NHL.
Didn't say he was.. although that's completely unknown. But he can't be any worse than Vanek. Andrighetto has a complete level that is as high as anyone on the team except Gallagher.

Watching Pacioretty play in the playoffs is one of the most frustrating experiences ever. The team will need to take some very serious decisions on these guys in the coming years.

Gionta hasn't been that bad. Ive loved his defensive game and his numerous NZ take aways. Obviously he can't he counted on to provide any goals, he is a 3rd liner.

DD has been working his ass off, but he's just not a capable #1 guy. Most of us agreed on this.

Patches, well he's been frustrating to watch to say the least.

Don't kid yourself, he would be way worse than Vanek. He would be a non-factor in every single way especially on the PP (which Vanek still does damage).

Andrighetto should not be mentioned in the same phrase as Vanek.

And Vanek should not be mentioned in the same phrase as contract.

DD will never produce in the playoffs with the clutch and grab being allowed. He's trying really hard but it just wont work.

Not that I believe Kane is some miracle worker that would solve our playoff problems, but simply because his team did not make the playoffs is not any sort of conclusive proof that he can or cannot perform in the NHL playoffs. You cannot prove either way without him playing a game first. Evander Kane's ability to play in the playoffs is UNKNOWN, not bad, terrible, good, great, or whatever other adjective one can come up with.

I think he could produce if we had a decent PP system. And if he was in a lesser role. Getting matched with Chara is killing him. He stupidly wins some battles, but he's getting no help from Pacioretty.

He's made similar passes that during the season would have been assists, but his linemates are flubbing. He's trying to adapt by shooting more but he can't get his shot of fast enough before he's smothered. He needs to shoot more next season.
