Heres some history for you all. The Original Edmonton Pro team the Edmonton Flyers. Lots of famous names on there. Al Arbour, Johnny Bucyk, Glenn Hall, Norm Ullman, Bronco Horvath. Tiger Goldstick etc
Team had more skill than the expansion clubs that would come to the NHL yrs later. It was often said the Flyers weren't far off NHL quality. Bruins fans would often complain the Flyers farm team was better than the NHL club. lol This was the 1954-55 club. Many went on to NHL as players, coaches, managers etc and several as hockey legends. Thats 70yrs ago and the team won the WHL championship that season.
