I always used to race sheriff bart to be the first one to post this on Christmas. I feel somewhat bittersweet posting it now. Gif your loved ones extra tight today, folks.

One of the last concerts I saw before COVID shut things down was his Christmas special at the Carolina Theatre in Durham in December 2019. He stopped touring for a while but he’s back touring again.

What Hurricanes swag did you get this year?

For me, a hand-finished fleece blanket and a custom mug.

Due to travel schedules and the like, I have been Christmasing since last Thursday. It feels like one long eat-a-thon with one more to go.

Many great dishes have been sampled and devoured by the crew but I will say this stuff is the clear winner. The way that is has been consumed repeatedly is wild. It is like crack:

My SO got me a new front Canes lisence plate as mine was many years old and dinged quite a bit. She also put it on the car as a surprise. And yes, I'm too lazy to go out and take a picture for you bums.

I got a cookbook on baking bread with lots of fun recipes to try as well as a cookbook on spiked sweets and mixed drinks. So more recipes to share when we talk about food.

I got a long-overdue dash cam for my car. But trying to install it, I quickly realized I was in over my head, so I’ll probably head over to Best Buy or something over the weekend and pay someone to install it for me.

I got 2 Canes stocking caps, a new 2025 Canes calendar, I got my one month old granddaughter her first set of Canes jammies for this season. And all 3 were different styles of Canes jammies!! New bumper stickers, a new Michigan license plate “Caniac”. I guess Trip got the “Canes” plates…A Canes throw rug, and finally 8 bobble head players , Aho, Jarvis, Necas, Svech, Slavin, E.Staal, A Semin, and finally, Brandon Sutter.
All are for my small man cave.

I've been getting wall calendars for the past, 15-ish years. Somewhere I've got the ones with Eric, Whitney, Gleason, Cole, etc.

Our family has been doing a gift pool thing, one big gift per adult, and one other person gets randomly picked to shop for them. Everyone pools money and gets the same budget. Highly recommended if you've got a large group.

Long way of saying no Canes swag this year, but a much larger and nicer tablet with which I will frequently watch Canes games from the patio!

Canes pajama bottoms, Canes long sleeve tshirt, a table top air hockey game with all 32 (yotes, not utah) logos to put on the bumpers and the new pupper got a rope through a canes hockey puck chew toy.
