IMO this is the main problem. Tkachuck, Norris, Batherson, Pinto, Sando, Chabot, they don't generally create great chances on their own. They support play or take advantage of openings, but they aren't creating it themselves. Same for Giroux, mostly, due to being slower than he used to.

This is what bubble teams are. They look great in stretches and then they don’t.
