Chippy game. My team has the leading point scorer by a mile in the division so he’s been getting cheapshotted quite a bit. Look for the spear near the end of the video.

Two rivals back at it. We handed them their first loss to stop their win streak at 10 two weeks ago and this is the rematch. Fast forward to 4:38 for the end of game brawl.

The only penalty on the play was the guy who shot the puck after the buzzer for unsportsmanlike. No suspensions for leaving the bench or any 10s. We’re close to playoffs so any fight is a 5 game suspension automatically so it went to that line but no one crossed it.

Playing full contact senior hockey at 35. I can still play but damn, does physical play ever pile up. Two games in a weekend and I can’t walk. It’s a grind to play physical, I need to tone it back a bit. It’s fun to play in front of fans though again, it’s been a long time.

I’d rather get punched in the face multiple times than rammed into the boards at full speed at my age.

You know I try not to get too worked up about results in mena league. Nobody honestly cares who wins or loses outside of the guys on the ice.

But we hadn't won in like 3 months, until we had a solid win last night. Felt pretty damn good.

Playing for the 2nd place bye for playoffs. Cut the lead from 3 points to 1 with a win with 3 games to go

2 goals in the last 30 seconds. Tying goal scored with 10 seconds left.

3 minute OT solves nothing, so go to the shootout. We lose in the shootout, but dammit if that still wasn't a fun game.

Just curious what level of mens league is this where you live tier 1/a, 2/b, 3/c, 4/d, or 5/f ? Any one that has played hockey for years knows shooting the puck at the goalie after the game is over is always going to end with getting the business and body to the pphead who shot the puck.

Funny thing is that as a Ref myself, that was certainly worth more than a 4 minute minor. Probably a major head contact at best. But that being said, you mess with the bull, you get the horns.

No that’s just it. I’m a smaller fella but I’m standing my ground even if I know I’m going to lose a fight.

That’s what my dad taught me to do. There are some genuine nut jobs out there though. You sound like a hell of a competitor and those guys always have room on my teams.

We’re in Kingston, Ontario in the biggest men’s league in town. We’re division 3 but a lot of guys who have USPORTS (similar to NCAA D1) , major junior, Jr A and Jr B guys. So it’s really good hockey. The guy that shot the puck after the whistle player Jr A so he should know but wanted to start issues after the game.

That team is our friendly rivals. At that time we gave them their first loss then played them again two weeks later. They were pissed cause one of my guys celebrated a goal in front of their bench to make it 7-3.
