Yeah, this isn't actually even "cute" I had an Uncle who as a Marine was sent there about 3 weeks after the bombing, he acknowledged being there, but, wouldn't talk about it, other than to say it was unimaginable.
Did he end up with any health problems related to the fallout? Can’t imagine they were taking too many precautions back then.Yeah, this isn't actually even "cute" I had an Uncle who as a Marine was sent there about 3 weeks after the bombing, he acknowledged being there, but, wouldn't talk about it, other than to say it was unimaginable.
Honestly not sure how my grandfather lived as long as he did (95). Was stationed in Japan during the occupation, purple heart in Korea, 3 separate heart attacks and a smoking habit.Did he end up with any health problems related to the fallout? Had a few family members in the pacific theatre too, sounded pretty hellish.
Is this the luckiest man who ever lived or unluckiest: Tsutomu Yamaguchi, the only man to survive both nuclear bombings.Yeah, this isn't actually even "cute" I had an Uncle who as a Marine was sent there about 3 weeks after the bombing, he acknowledged being there, but, wouldn't talk about it, other than to say it was unimaginable.
