True story. My wife and I were cleaning our house one day a couple of decades ago when our daughter was about 5 years old and we heard her say that our neighbor was walking a llama outside. We of course assumed that our daughter saw a big dog so I went to the window to tell her what type of dog that was….


It was a llama. She brought it home in her minivan.

For me it’s that last few seconds that really clinches it. Norm was clever enough to come up with the against-the-grain punch line, but you still need a Chris Farley to sell it the way it needs to be sold. Just a crazy level of comedic talent in that room, kind of like having Akroyd and Belushi together in their primes.
