The first two flags you are fairly likely to recognize belong to the “White” (old Tsardom flag) and “Red” (flag of what will become Soviet Union) factions of the Russian Civil War which erupted at the twilight of the First World War.
The last one belongs to Czechoslovakian legionnaires who flipped off Austria-Hungary and fought for Russians until they signed the Treaty of Brest Litevsky.
That meant that the Czechs and Slovaks went on a long journey home
through east.
During said journey they’ve encountered many opposing forces which included bolsheviks, released Hungarian and German prisoners.
Ultimately they were forced to leave the Russia, because the lack of Allied support and homesickness didn’t exactly give them the greatest morale boost.
What did give them such boon was the independence of Czechoslovakia which was established on 28th of October, 1918.
On their way home they won many battles including a single “naval” engagement in Czechoslovak history on Lake Baykal.
