That's unfortunate, with the way he's playing right now the Canes would probably be better off without him in the lineup.Necas didn't miss a shift, thankfully
Necas was down like his season was over. Once they went back and gave a major and a game he came running back and didn’t miss a shift… bs
His knee was in a completely normal position. The only reason for that much knee contact was because Necas tried to jump out of the way last second. His knee sure looked like it bent all funny- either he shifted last sec or he’s gonna be feeling that for a bit.
Meier’s knee was ahead of his shoulders, don’t be dumb like that, is my take. It’s dangerous as shit, totally accidental it seems, but I’m fine with erring on the side of “f*** that, get out.”

Refs didn’t call any penalty on it and play kept going. Necas laid on the Ice for a couple minutes so they decided to go back and call a major. Necas was fine and ready to go before the puck had been dropped again.
Meier’s stance was completely normal. That’s how hockey players stand. In fact the leg that made contact was more tucked in than his other leg. There’s not a single thing he can do.People always wanna blame the other dude for trying to avoid the hit, like he’s supposed to just see a shoulder and eat it. Nah, he tried to avoid it like players do, and knees knocked because look how friggin wide Meier’s stance was goin in.
And then Necas was perfectly fine again before the play resumed. This was probably the weirdest thing about how it went down.
Like, they didn't even think it was a penalty at first but then Necas was down for a bit and it's like they though, "oh, we should call something"

Nothing weird about it - refs rewarded the dive. This was probably the weirdest thing about how it went down.

Which is 100% if it were the linesman caught it and asked it's also allowed on high sticks but they aren't allowed to blow the play deadRefs didn’t call any penalty on it and play kept going. 2 minute penalty at most. Doesn’t stick his leg out. Lined up the body and still makes contact with the body but also quite a bit of knee contact because Necas tried to jump out of the way last second.
