Huh

Maybe GMMG's options were limited by who Timo would commit to an extension with

Or maybe Timo's like "yolo just gimme that 10 million and let's talk $100M contract after next year #nocommitments"
Be malpractice by him or his agent to take that risk on a long term deal to scrap out an extra million for a year.

If we take all rumors at face value, NJD had wanted last chance to beat all those Seravalli-reported pick packages, so the return might be better than I we fear?

I wonder how's Timo's upper body injury. New Jersey taking a big risk. Just kidding

Erik Karlsson trade had fair value. Ottawa definitely did not lose that trade and did get fair value.
Not on the day of the trade. They got lucky the Sharks had their worst season in 25 years and Norris took a huge step forward developmentally the year after he was traded.

People are freaking out about an extension on the main board, but he is an RFA still after this contract. Between team-elected arbitration and the offer sheet return, its kind of a no risk deal. Give him a 1-year QO at 10 mil and then trade him at the deadline for what it cost to get him. If someone offer-sheets him take the 4 1st and run.
