In other jersey news, first peak of Fanatics gear.

First they came for the helmet, and I did not speak out — Because the ads were minimal/indiscriminate and it was purportedly necessary to save the league of disastrous revenue loss during Covid which would affect team cap hits and losing my favorite players.

Then they came for the Reebok/adidas jersey, and I did not speak out — Because I was told fanatics would buy the manufacturing plants so quality would remain intact.

Then they came for the board advertisements, and I did not speak out — Because the commissioner said fans in fact “preferred digital ads” and believed once integrated properly it would be a non issue or would not lead to further displacement like that of the iconic “Stanley cup finals” decal at the top of the blue line with a god damn chipotle logo.

Then the they came for the intermission analysis, and I did not speak out —because I was not a sports bettor and had faith in gambling regulators balancing the love & integrity of our game with promoting a clinically addictive vice.

Then they came for our sacred sweater with the first of many “tasteful” and well blended sportsbook ads --and there was no one left to speak for it
