Forbort has better movement and hands at this point then A Mart did and he is a comparable skater to Muzzin. DF is struggling a bit from time to time in MCH or that is what I am seeing when watching him but he has all of the skills to make it and be an anchor #4-6 guy with size which is a nice thing.

forbort i think we are seeing the same situation we saw his first two years at UND. he seems to stall - slow down briefly each new stage of development. he takes longer to become comfortable with the game change. the speed - skill - decisioning - strength - etc, takes him times to grow into and adapt to.

initially at UND i thought it may have more to do from a physical standpoint. often times it takes the bigger kids longer to adapt with the increased speed, agility and strength. i figured it was just Derek growing into his body, but maybe it isn't the case. the kid just needs time to mature and adapt
