Media zone's live internet coverage not available in Canada?

Canada has TV coverage for the WC, as well in Switzerland and lots of other countries. That's why they won't do parallel coverage in those countries.

A friend of mine, who is Slovakian, would like to see the Slovak-games, but they are playing the same time Finland is, so obviously they only show the Finnish games here, and not the Slovak ones... Can he see those games on mediazoe, or are those games unavailable then as well?

This site will show Slovakia's games online (though it's not exactly 100% sure): http://www.tw1.at/sport.htm

I live in France. Some stupid channel has acquired the rights to show the Worlds. But their priority will be to show the tennis tournament in Rome and soccer. Which means that on the opening day there will be 0 games, on the 2nd day 1 game, on the 3rd day 1 recorded game, etc ... crap! We should be allowed to watch the games that won't be on TV in our respective countries for God's sakes!

I am a Canadian sitting on a beautiful South Korean island thanking the hockey gods for the full web-based coverage of the entire tournament, live and on demand. :)

You think the lockout is bad? How about not being able to watch any NHL games even though a dozen are on a night?

Just imagine how it felt for me not to be able to watch the NHL because not even the digital satellite companies in this country provide anything more than the all-star game and a few of the final games.

The hockey world should wake up and do what the MLB has done: provide full web-based coverage of games for a price.

That's what you get for living France. C'mon, move to Canada. We'll let you in. You'll be able to the watch the world juniors every Christmas, the world championships every spring, the world under 17s, the under 18s, major junior, midget hockey. Hell, maybe even the NHL someday. What a country!

Are you joking? TSN's coverage is total crap.

No I'd rather live in the US or Japan, and watch ALL the games with MediaZone.

Actually I was thinking about the same thing. I wanna start a petition asking the NHL to make the same service as baseball's MLB.TV!

ESPN's in France now it sounds like it ;)

I'm in -- had I known earlier could have saved 10 bucks but whatever - 40 bucks for 56 games is a bargain

Yeah, sometimes you have to scratch your head. If they had Canada/Switerland at the same time as Russia/USA, they'd show the Canada game(And probably won't tape delay the other one for later). Like we can't all figure out beforehand Canada will win by at least 8 goals. I'd really like to see Russia in a preliminary game, but guess what, their schedules seem to conflict with Canadas. So, instead, I'll be watching 8 games of Canada playing whoever. Sure, Canada/Czech or Sweden will be at least a good game. But do I really need to see them sit out their stars and go globetrotters on Austria?

I agree with you 300 %. NHL wake up!!!!!

The video is bad, audio is great -- the announcers are Austrian.

I am just waiting for "Get to da choppa"

Yeah the Video isn't great and the announcer is obviously not very good at English. Then again neither am I. The download will probably be better quality. I'm watching it on my TV and it's still not that great visually.

The live feed isnt that great (its still ok) but the replays looks really good.

2 bad the announcer doesn't know hockey....it was just a 2 on 2 and he said, "Looks like another breakaway." lol

I disagree totally, his English is very clear.

The picture is grainy and dark-ish, but it's completely watchable, and I only got a few short freezeups at the end. Money well spent so far for me. :)

Which cast were you watching? I thought the announcer for the Canadian game really didn't know his stuff....

That's the game I was watching. I had no problem understanding him whatsoever. Nothing he said stood out to me as being blatantly wrong, but I generally don't pay a whole lot of attention to commentators unless they're discussing a replay or something, and I agreed with his analysis on just about all of the replays. I thought he was very professional and he sounded to me like he's a regular PBP guy for hockey.

Anyway, it's HOCKEY and I actually get to SEE IT! I see nothing to complain about. Easy enough to turn the sound off if it bothers you. It could be worse, Canadians have to listen to Mcguire, lol. :)

still a bargain for 56 games though thats for sure -- going to try my gaming machine for this afternoon's games. watched this mornings on my laptop and it was a little grainy, but still fantastic (to be able to watch hockey)
